Things you should know:
1. I'm Greek-American and proud of it!
I'm a first generation Greek-American, and my family is from an island called Kalamos in Greece. Yes, my life was slightly like the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," and I did have to go to Greek School when I was a kid, BUT I'm really glad I did! I didn't really like it at the time, but after a trip to Greece with my mom when I was only 14, I changed my mind and enrolled my self in a competitive Greek dance group called Patrida (Πατρίδα meaning patriots of Greece) and of course, Greek School! I love everything about being Greek, from the language, the dancing, the food and the history, to the way I always feel like every Greek person I meet is family.
2. I'm a Gator, and I'm proud of that too!
I'm a University of Florida Gator! I graduated from UF's College of Journalism and Communications in the Spring of 2012 with a Bachelor's of Science in Public Relations.
At UF, anything was possible. I joined organizations, volunteered, lived in dorms and did everything else that I always dreamed I'd do in college. I lived on my own, got to explore a new city... what more could a girl ask for? I don't think there is anything comparable to the way it feels to belong to the Gator Nation.
To top it off, the CJC is a Top Ten school for my field, in the country. I wouldn't trade my life-changing four years there for ANYTHING! I made friendships that will last a lifetime and developed skills that will skyrocket me into the next chapter of my life!
